All my life, I have been interested in human behaviour. When I was a politician, I was thoroughly committed, but always more thoroughly interested in the behaviour of men and women. I noted their eccentricities, their qualities, and their ways in thousands of notes or letters, in diaries and recordings. This book is a sampling of notes from my records, some of the most interesting.
