This is a story and account of my life so far. This is the first book in my series. I will take you on my journey from birth, growing up in a beautiful country town, moving to the suburbs, and discovering New Zealand’s under ground. You will meet characters you may relate to and characters that will shock you. I will lead you into the world that surrounded me, strangled me, and nearly killed me. Then I will show you how I changed my world, escaped the traps, leading me here to tell my story.
My name Is Shiela. I grew up in the Hawke’s Bay, New Zealand. My parents moved to New Zealand from England and South Africa, to create their New Zealand Dream.
I am based in Tauranga, I have two children, I am a solo mum, I work as a Senior support worker, and I write part time.
I put my goal of sharing my experiences and life so far with you on hold to bring up my family and start a career. Finally it is time to put pen to paper, writing this first book of three book series “My New Zealand Dream.”
In “My New Zealand Dream,” I want to share with you my life so far in hopes you can relate, be inspired and to give one hope.
‘The Seeds Are Sown‘ is the first book in Sheila Smiths book trilogy, The New Zealand Dream. This trilogy is her autobiography so far, sharing her life journey beginning in Hastings, Hawke’s Bay, and unfolding through experiences of hardship, resilience, healing, and hope.
